SBC field trip to PHNWR@Fowler Beach. 18 birders assembled and observed in the parking lot area before walking to the beach. We did succeed in seeing some distant Snow Buntings and Horned Larks. We returned to the parking lot and about 3:45pm we started looking for Short-eared Owls. We had good looks at Northern Harriers and Tundra Swans, but no owls. It was 29 degrees F, with a 10-15 mph wind. The SBC did well handling the cold! There is one eBird checklist. (Photo©AnnDinkel)
