Our Annual Cape May Overnight Birding Adventure

We took the first Ferry from Lewes to Cape May and were birding at the Cape May Point State Park and hawk watch by 10:30 AM. We also birded the Northwoods Center and Lily Lake, South Cape May Meadows, Higbee Beach, Wetlands Institute, Nummy Island, Two Mile Beach, Forsythe NWR and points in between. Weather was hot, humid with a mostly south or east wind. Raptor and songbird migration was slow but we did tally some 96 species over the three days.
