Hawaii's White Tern: An Urban Seabird

Sunday, November 8, 2 PM

Our November meeting will be virtual via ZOOM. You must be pre-registered through the Lewes Library. Click here for details.

Our guest presenter, Rich Downs, leads a citizen science project to better understand the white tern and the fascinating story of its unique relationship with Honolulu and the Hawaiian Islands. For the past 4 years he has been coordinating the efforts of an array of agencies, institutions, and conservation groups to enhance awareness, appreciation, understanding and conservation of the white tern. Rich is an amateur ornithologist and bird photographer who divides his time between Honolulu and his home in Maryland.
