Brrrrr-d Trip @ DSSP January 28, 2021

To quote our Field Trip V.P. Rob Blye, "The weather outside was frightful but the birds we saw were delightful." About 18 Sussex Bird Club members gathered at Delaware Seashore State Park Jan. 28 despite the cold and wind. (Windchill 22, gusts to 36 mph) We saw about 20 species of birds including some rarities. The two checklists referenced below tell all the details. Of greatest interest were the two female goldeneyes and six red-breasted mergansers at the Marina and tidal pool at Burtons Island and the immature glaucous gull, great cormorant and young harlequin duck at the Inlet.
