12 birders participated in a "Big Sit" at the Point in Cape Henlopen State Park in lieu of the SBC October meeting. We set up a circle at the benches directly off the parking lot at The Point in Cape Henlopen State Park. A beautiful sunny day with slight NNE wind brought raptors across the bay from Cape May on migration. We braved the cool day and sustained our enthusiasm with coffee and bagels. SBC compiled one eBird checklist for this event. New Haven Bird Club, originator of the Big Sit compiles the data from all the sites.
