Twelve SBC members birded Assawoman Wildlife Area (Observation tower, Mulberry Landing, and Strawberry Landing). Highlights were a small flock of pied-billed grebes, many gadwall and American wigeon. At Strawberry Landing a sedge wren was heard, but seen only by Ray. Indian River highlights were a close razorbill and a great cormorant.
