12 members and one soon-to-be member carpooled to the 4th Street Park in Ocean City, MD to bird the Isle of Wight Bay and Skimmer Island. We then crossed the Rte 50 bridge to view the same places from the other side. Elliott's Pond in West OC, was brimful with waterfowl; we saw some 15 species. Southpoint Boat Ramp was our next stop, then the Assateague Visitor Center and National Seashore. With the Bayside development pond, Ocean City Inlet, and a final stop at Assawoman WA in Delaware we tallied a total of 64 species. It was a very long but exhilarating day.
